Local Bookshops

Waterstones

22-24, Thackery Mall, Fareham Shopping Centre, Fareham PO16 0PQ, UK – 01329 825693

My son and I love this shop. It has something for everyone. The children's area is very very nice. My son can sit and look at books and toys and do little things to keep him occupied. He loves it and I love being able to look at books with him and choose books for him to buy. They cater for small children like my son with Thomas and the gruffalo etc., alongwith books for much older children. I like the rest of the shop as well. The sales assistants are always very very good in this place and very polite. They have always had good staff for years and years now. The shop looks great. It's welcoming, well layed out and has a great selection of books and also has games and collectibles such as Harry Potter etc. They have good sales on also.

The selection on topics I'm interested in is either poor or nonexisting. Friendly staff.

The Works

46 West St, Fareham PO16 0PD, UK – 01329 827394

A bit small but good place to find books and office supplies.

Good alround selection of products depends on the store as things vary. Good for crafts and things for children to do.

WHSmith

Savoy Buildings, 4 West St, Fareham PO16 0AG, UK – 01329 232178

W H Smith in Gosport for me was a very good experience in a book store and Post Office. Staff were very helpful. I am now a convert to the book store.

Why didn’t they put the post office downstairs and books upstairs, as this isn’t easy for people with mobility issues, especially as the lift isn’t reliable.
